Admission Requirements
Domestic Admissions Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution*
- Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 on 4.0 scale
- Graduate GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale (if graduate work has been completed elsewhere)
- Combined Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of at least 300
- $65 application fee
International Admissions Requirements
- In addition, international applicants whose native language is not English must submit either a TOEFL score minimum of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based) or an IELTS score of 6.5**
- $75 application fee
Individual options in IPSS may require specific academic background that must be met before admission to the program is allowed or that must be satisfied early in the student’s academic career
*An accredited U.S. institution is one that is accredited by the appropriate regional agency (Middle States, New England, North Central, Northwest, Southern or Western Association of Colleges and Schools). A recognized foreign institution is an institution that is recognized by that nation's Ministry of Education or similar authority as a postsecondary, academic degree-granting institution.
**International students who receive college degrees from US universities and universities in other designated English-speaking countries may be exempted from taking the TOEFL test, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis by the Graduate School.

Application Deadline
Domestic students may apply up to one month prior to the start of classes for term of application
- Fall – July 15th
- Spring – December 1st
International students may apply up to three months prior to the start of classes for term of application
- Fall – April 15th
- Spring – September 1st
